Requirements
- 5 years of related experience; including insurance/financial services industry experience.
- Demonstrated track record implementing current technology trends and techniques in the Artificial Intelligence and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), including Kubernetes, Python, Docker, AWS, LLMs, etc.
- Experience working with stakeholders to identify opportunities to educate on risks and opportunities in the delivery of AI-based solutions.
- Experience with enterprise-scale AI implementations.
- Experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Background in building AI solutions for operational efficiency.
- Track record of successful stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop engineering teams revolutionizing the insurance industry through the power of artificial intelligence, acting as a player-coach.
- Maintain hands-on technical involvement in engineering decisions, code reviews, and development of automation and AI solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to identify and prioritize AI opportunities that drive business value.
- Contribute to engineering standards and best practices for AI development, deployment, and monitoring across teams.
- Mentor and develop engineers at all levels, conducting performance reviews and creating growth plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues, leading incident response when necessary.
- Champion uses of Artificial Intelligence across the enterprise through education, coaching, and advocacy.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience.
- Three years of programming/development experience.
- Strong problem solver who utilizes data and proofs of concepts to find creative solutions to difficult problems.
- Strong communicator who possesses the ability to describe technology concepts in ways the business can understand.
- Advanced leadership skills with the ability to take action even when there is no clear owner, inspire and motivate others.
