Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is looking for a System Architect to lead the design and integration of Android Open-Source Project (AOSP), Android Automotive OS (AAOS), and Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platforms to shape next-generation in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and SDV architectures.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • Deep expertise in Linux kernel and Android system architecture, including kernel subsystems, device drivers, bootloaders, and low-level system services.
  • Power and memory management, performance tuning, and latency optimization.
  • Android HAL development, AOSP integration, and system-level debugging.
  • Strong expertise in Yocto distribution and its layering
  • Strong experience with Android Automotive OS, including customization and optimization for automotive platforms.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems and hypervisors: Linux, QNX, and other RTOSs.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead the development & integration of Linux ( Kernel and Yocto Distros ) and AAOS on Qualcomm-based platforms
  • Collaborate with Software Product Management to create Linux and AAOS technology roadmap and interface with OSVs like Google and others in terms of supporting the corresponding technical features
  • Drive OEM requirements elicitation and work closely with internal engineering teams toward delivery of the same
  • Be a hands-on technical leader providing guidance to internal Linux and Android technology teams to create standards based scalable software products for Automotive products
  • Lead new automotive technologies related to AAOS and Linux around SDV and AIDV

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Experience working with Automotive Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs is a strong plus.
  • Experience in commercializing automotive hardware/software platforms is highly desirable.
