Requirements
- 10+ years' related work experience leading, building, and scaling UXR teams and capabilities.
- D2C experience researching touchpoints in the acquisition and conversion funnel.
- Experience working with cross functional teams in support of product development.
- Extensive experience with usability and/or statistical research software.
- Experience working in a digital news organization or a strong interest in news is a nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale a world-class research team and oversee UXR strategy and capabilities across CNN’s Engagement, Growth, and Revenue teams.
- Develop research plans in partnership with Product Designers, Product leaders and other stakeholders, choosing the methods (qualitative, quantitative, mixed) to best inform research needs.
- Conduct research that drives product insights to inform decision making and prioritization of product features/enhancements that increase user engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Communicate findings from variety of inputs including analytics, survey results, user behavior, and other data to craft actionable and unbiased recommendations.
- Establish strong and productive relationships with product design, product management and cross-functional teams to understand the needs of the business and use that knowledge to inform research strategy.

- Bachelor's degree in BA Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology or Social Sciences or equivalent professional experience.
