The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) IT Department is seeking a Director, Workday Configurations - Research Admin to lead the configuration and maintenance of Workday, specifically focusing on research administration systems, grants management, and compliance, to ensure alignment with institutional goals, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Advanced Workday configuration for research modules.
- Experience leading complex research system implementations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in research administration systems, preferably Workday.
Responsibilities
- Leads the configuration and maintenance of Workday.
- Modify the application based on Business requirements within the change control process determined by the University.
- Partners with the integration team in helping to configure and test integrations between Workday and third party or custom solutions.
- Architect Workday solutions for grants, contracts, and sponsored programs.
- Serve as expert configurator/tactician for Workday Research Admin solutions and related integrations (i.e. Award reporting, Pre-Award)
- Lead system implementations and enhancements for research administration.
- Monitor Workday updates and lead adoption strategies for research modules.

- Handles complex factors, develops policies, procedures and practices for which there is no precedent.
- Plans, develops, administers and coordinates all functions and services for information technology projects, of all sizes and complexities.
- Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals Help facilitate and evaluate design challenges and provide feedback and options.
- Directs the functional activities analysis and re-designs and is empowered to provide functional requirements and signoff.
- Functions in a technical leadership role, on capabilities, product issues and complex deployment challenges.
