Walmart is looking to transform developer toolkits by incorporating GenAI, enabling the creation and deployment of AI agents that automate complex workflows and modernize legacy systems. The company needs a distinguished software engineer to design, build, and integrate these agents while ensuring robust governance and control, ultimately improving developer experience and driving business outcomes.
Requirements
- AI/ML experience including GenAI experience in last 2 years.
- Hands-on delivery for quick prototyping and POCs.
- Experience working with industry products for GenAI code generation, Agent builders, open source libraries, Agentic CLI and IDE tools.
- Experience with developer workflows in enterprise with multi-cloud architectures.
- Platform delivery with product mindset and customer backward thinking.
Responsibilities
- Own the execution for specific services, platforms, or pipelines For developer experience.
- Lead the design and development of robust, modular, cloud-native software systems and AI agents.
- Integrate external and internal AI/ML components (for example, reinforcement learning models, goal-oriented agents) for intelligent automation and user-facing experiences.
- Optimize systems and drive continuous improvement
- Identifies and addresses architectural bottlenecks, integration challenges, or scaling limitations across systems.
- Champions friction/toil reduction by automating manual processes and improving system developer experience.
- Apply sound reasoning to make informed technical decisions, balancing trade-offs and considering long-term impacts on system architecture and business goals.
