Develop the next generation of payroll systems for over 2 million Walmart associates, integrating with 50+ systems to ensure seamless, accurate, and timely payments, while eliminating defects and manual touchpoints.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices
- Experience in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
- Experience with assistive technologies
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction for multiple teams and systems, and disambiguate large complex problems at Walmart scale to enable the team to deliver.
- Collaborate with engineering and business leadership to align technology and business priorities.
- Establish and own both business as well as well operational excellence goals, and help define the path to goal achievement.
- Invest in creating engineering leaders and set up culture of engineering excellence for multiple teams.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership across Walmart Global Tech to influence global best practices and be a spokesperson for the org.
