United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) requires a Project Manager to support command and control facilities with project planning, scheduling, budget management, change management, and quality assurance

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience as Project Manager supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope ($40M-50M, 35-40 personnel)
  • Bachelor-s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT related field and at least five (5) years of experience managing a program of similar in size and scope ($40M-50M, 35-40 personnel)
  • Management experience in an enterprise-level (minimum of 1k users) DOD C4I/IT environment
  • Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)
  • Familiarity in the program/project status and schedules using MS Project
  • Familiarity with DEVOPS, Jira

Responsibilities

  • Developing comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, milestones, deliverables, and timelines, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with USSPACECOM objectives and requirements
  • Creating and managing the project budget, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately and efficiently, monitoring expenditures and ensures the project stays within financial constraints
  • Serving as the primary point of contact between the project team and USSPACECOM stakeholders, facilitating regular meetings and provides updates on project status, risks, and changes
  • Implementing quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet USSPACECOM standards and specifications Conducts regular reviews and audits to maintain high-quality project outputs
  • Overseeing the selection, negotiation, and management of vendors and contractors
  • Ensuring external partners meet contractual obligations and performance standards
  • Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget through formal change control processes, ensuring that any changes are communicated and approved by stakeholders
