The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking to solve the problem of managing and maintaining their Salesforce system, including developing custom solutions, automating processes, and ensuring data protection and compliance.

Requirements

  • Custom Solutions Development: Design and build tailored business solutions using Salesforce Lightning Components, Flows, Apex, and third-party integrations such as MuleSoft.
  • Apex Development: Create and deploy advanced custom functionality using Apex to support complex business requirements.
  • User Interface Design: Build custom user experiences including page layouts, search layouts, field relationships (lookup, dependent), custom objects, reports, dashboards, and record types.
  • Automation Implementation: Streamline operations with native Salesforce automation tools like Flows
  • Salesforce Environment Management: Manage multiple environments by creating sandboxes and deploying changes using Change Sets between development, testing, and production.
  • Salesforce Shield Monitoring: Configure and monitor Shield features such as Field Audit Trail and Event Monitoring to ensure compliance and data protection.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) Maintenance: Support and troubleshoot SSO integrations to enable secure, unified access across systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex code using best practices and ensure the design and implementation fit within the system and requirements, ensuring performance measures are met.
  • Produce and review software deliverables and documentation throughout the design, development, testing and implementation phases.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and offer suggestions to improve code or correct potential design, functional, or performance issues.
  • Identify issues and provide solutions to issues that arise during software development and testing.
  • Train and mentor junior developers staff in development methodology, software development lifecycle and establish business processes.
  • Create technical documentation; system processes and designs & integrations with other systems.
  • Create, build, deploy and maintain multiple branches of source code ensuring proper segregation.

Other

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree with Major or coursework emphasis in (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing as a salesforce administrator.
  • Must possess a valid driver license from state of residence.
  • Travel (in city, and surrounding areas) as needed.
  • Availability for after-hours, weekends, and emergency work may be required as needed.
