NBME is looking for Computer Science Co-Op students to work on development teams creating solutions that enable NBME's mission to protect the health of the public through state-of-the-art assessment. This involves developing and integrating software solutions that impact the online experience for millions of examinees.
Requirements
- Experience with frontend framework (Angular/React)
- Experience with Java/Python/AWS
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience developing automated tests is a plus
Responsibilities
- Help develop frontend applications and/or backend microservices (e.g. Lambda function that uses non-sql data store) that will run in AWS cloud
- Implement UI features in Angular that are responsive, modular, and performant
- Develop Restful and/or graphQL APIs
- Contribute to the production code base
- Work on areas of our current and next generation systems such as portal and ecommerce, exam content management, exam delivery methods, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile, API development, Data Warehouse, and scoring and reporting.

- Must be a Drexel University student enrolled in the following majors: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Analytical, problem solver, and critical thinker
- Obtain domain knowledge of the scoring team relating to score generation
- Co-ops must be located in the tri-state area of PA, DE, or NJ for the duration of the Co-op experience.
