The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Provider Finance Department (PFD) needs to strengthen workforce training and development by providing technical, instructional design, and facilitation expertise.
Requirements
- Knowledge of instructional design models, eLearning development tools, and adult learning principles.
- Knowledge of Learning Management System (LMS) functions, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Skill in designing, developing, and delivering training in multiple formats (eLearning, classroom, virtual).
- Skill in coordinating logistics, managing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with program staff and leadership to identify training needs and provide solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently on assignments while contributing as a team member.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for training operations, which may include LMS administration, troubleshooting, reporting, and analytics.
- Assist with training requisitions, vendor communication, and documentation in alignment with agency policies.
- Perform logistical support duties as assigned to ensure smooth training delivery.
- Design and develop instructional content, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training guides, and related materials.
- Apply instructional design principles and adult learning practices to produce engaging and accurate training products.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and Training & Development staff to align content with program needs and standards.
- Facilitate in-person and online training sessions, workshops, and orientations to support employee development.
Other
- At least one year of experience developing training materials, facilitating learning sessions, and coordinating training activities.
- Knowledge of agency programs, policies, and processes is preferred.
