Altera is seeking an EDA/IP Tech Lead to drive strategic and operational initiatives across their design automation and IP management landscape to ensure optimal license utilization, vendor engagement, and infrastructure readiness to support global silicon design teams.
Requirements
- Deep familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and third-party IP offerings
- Understanding of Foundry PDK collaterals and associated processes
- Experience working with global teams across multiple geographies
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Design Automation, Silicon Engineering, or CAD-related fields
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
- Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and drive consensus
Responsibilities
- Track and manage EDA tool licenses across projects and geographies
- Rebalance license usage to maximize efficiency and minimize cost
- Share weekly license usage reports with design teams
- Lead technical and business discussions with EDA and IP vendors
- Conduct competitive analysis to evaluate vendor offerings
- Define and manage infrastructure requirements for design automation tools
- Work closely with architects and design teams to guide IP selection from third-party vendors
