The company is looking to solve the problem of effective management, maintenance, and enhancement of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems, as well as knowledge and support of applications on the AS/400 platform using RPG.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with EDI standards, translation software, and communication protocols.
- Knowledge of AS/400 system administration and operations.
- Previous exposure to the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to EDI and RPG applications.
- Familiarity with integrating EDI with ERP systems is considered a plus.
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques specific to e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages and platforms is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the organization's EDI environment, ensuring reliable and secure data exchange with trading partners.
- Develop, test, and implement EDI maps and transactions using appropriate EDI software and tools.
- Monitor EDI transaction processing, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize EDI processes and integrate with business systems.
- Assist with maintenance of applications on the AS/400 platform in relation to all of the EDI Practices needed to align with business need.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing EDI processes, including debugging and performance optimization.
- Document EDI processes, and system configurations for future reference and compliance purposes.

- An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
