The Asian American Studies Center needs to oversee the assessment, development, and organization of educational materials and resources, including transforming collections into instructional resources, distributing publications, managing archival projects for digitization, and overseeing the dissemination of policy reports and journal articles.
Requirements
- Demonstrated Experience with network PCs and Macintosh workstations in a mixed environment
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe software, UC developed applications, email systems, data/contact management programs, web-based applications, text editors, client/server applications, and protocols.
- Understanding of principles of archival arrangement and description; Basic knowledge of archival best practices and metadata structures and standards.
- Knowledge of metadata schemas, such as Dublin Core, METS, MODS.
- Demonstrate knowledge of advanced computing and ability to introduce innovations and incorporate new technologies or processes.
- Skill in analyzing information and situations to define the problem and/or objective, identify issues, and formulate logical conclusions, and in organizing material and information in a systematic way to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort.
- Ability to work accurately with attention to detail; quickly and independently learn and adjust to changing technology and environments.
