Bluefors, a leader in cryogenic technology, is looking to hire an Electrical Controls Engineering Manager to oversee the design, development, and implementation of electrical and control systems for their advanced measurement systems, ensuring compliance with standards and driving innovation in the quantum technology and scientific industries.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Electrical and Controls Engineering.
- Experience with AB and PLC programming/troubleshooting, SCADA systems, power distribution, automation, Rockwell RS Logix family of PLC and the FactoryTalk View Studio HMI software platforms for new equipment is required.
- Experience using electrical design software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, etc.) and additional relevant experience required.
- PMP Certification, Six Sigma, or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical and controls projects from design to implementation.
- Oversee the design, development and testing of electrical systems and control solutions.
- Ensure designs meet technical specifications, operational requirements, and compliance standards.
- Ensure all designs and installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and implement innovative solutions.
- Provide expert technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
- Ensure all electrical and control systems comply with relevant national and international standards.
Other
- Supervise, mentor and develop the electrical and controls Engineering team.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align projects with business objectives.
- Optimize resource allocation to meet project and organizational goals.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Improve processes and workflows by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and taking corrective action as needed.
