Requirements
- Strong technical experience in Automation and Controls Engineering (PLC, Motion, Servo, Robotics, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic corporate finance, budgeting, accounting
- Experience with project management toolkits
- Strong coaching and people development skills
- Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups
- Able to develop and maintain a respectful and safe work environment
- 4-year degree in engineering, technology, or management
Responsibilities
- Set clear goals and objectives, assess progress, and instill a performance-oriented culture with a focus on accountability
- Partner with operations leadership, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain to lead and manage change
- Provide technical direction and expertise to guide and support Electrical Engineering Technician team on troubleshooting calls and continuous improvement projects
- Acquire the appropriate people, technology, equipment, and financial resources necessary to meet internal and external customer expectations
- Provide coaching, information, ideas, feedback, and encouragement to employees and managers to promote the growth and development of the engineering team
- Be highly visible within the value stream to create a safe environment for collaboration and participation
- Promote a hands-on, high-involvement approach to problem solving
Other
- 4-year degree in engineering, technology, or management
- 2-5 years of experience in a technical leadership role (engineering, quality, etc.)
- Able to develop and maintain a respectful and safe work environment
