Expleo USA is looking to design the future of automotive accessories for iconic brands like Jeep, RAM, Dodge, and Chrysler by hiring an Electrical Product Design Engineer to work on cutting-edge vehicle technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in electrical product design in automotive industries
- Strong understanding of vehicle wiring design and development
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects
- Familiarity with component validation and supplier collaboration
- Knowledge of LED lighting design
- Experience with vehicle CAN bus communication and diagnostics
- Exposure to illuminated ornamentation, trailer tow solutions, or digital camera integration
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and release of new electrical and electronic vehicle accessories
- Collaborate with brand planning, vehicle integration, and design teams to assess feasibility and create innovative solutions
- Develop source package documents and support supplier selection with Mopar Purchasing
- Oversee supplier development activities and ensure component quality and performance
- Manage vehicle testing and validation using DVP protocols
- Host weekly engineering development meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Track and manage changes to vehicle electrical systems and components
Other
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Only candidates authorized to work in the US will be considered for this role
- Onsite collaboration: work onsite more than 3 days per week across Troy, Center Line, and Auburn Hills, MI
