Boeing Global Services, Commercial Modifications Engineering is seeking an Electrical, Electronics, and Electrical Sub-Systems Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a group of employees performing engineering, technical, and regulatory tasks that provide engineering solutions for the Boeing Global Services commercial modifications business units.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of Electrical and/or Electronic Systems engineering
- 5+ years of experience working on either electrical or electronic airplane components
- 5+ years of prior experience in the development, integration, and verification of electrical or electronic systems
- Experience with or a desire to learn Agile project management methods
- Firm understanding of FAA and EASA certification and compliance processes
- Understands qualification requirements (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254)
- Experience supporting aircraft production, development, and/or sustainment program(s)
Responsibilities
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BGS electrical engineering such as Electrical Design, Wire Design, Equipment Installation and Wire Installation.
- Supports a variety of Boeing products, including the 737, 747, 767, 777, and 787 products.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
- Coordinates engagement with BCA and BGS engineering counterparts located in Puget Sound, Long Beach, and international partners.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing.
- Provides technical and project oversight of suppliers.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
