Sargent & Lundy is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to assist engineering teams with projects related to power plant systems, components, and distribution engineering. The intern will gain practical experience and expand their academic knowledge in electrical engineering.
Requirements
- coursework in electrical power concepts and AC power systems analysis
- An understanding of the practical application of electrical engineering and technology, including applying systems, principles, techniques, and procedures to a project design
Responsibilities
- assist the engineering team members in the execution of their project work
- design of new and/or modifications and upgrades to existing power plant systems, components, and distribution engineering projects
- utilize and expand your academic background in Electrical Engineering in one or more of the following areas
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and designs
- Be involved in electric power equipment document reviews
Other
- Must have an expected graduation date in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 toward a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
- Good verbal and written communication skills along with strong PC skills are required.
- Prior, related internship or co-op experience is preferred.
