Dolese Bros. Co. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience and contribute to real-world projects in electrical engineering, assisting in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment, components, and systems for manufacturing and installation.
Requirements
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Previous exposure with modeling software (AutoCAD, Tekla or other Modeling Software) preferred
- Electrical and automation experience preferred
- Knowledge of 3 phase high voltage power distribution, MCC, and electric drives/motors preferred
- Strong engineering and technical skills
- Ability to understand and apply analytical and statistics tools
Responsibilities
- Involved in research, design, development, testing and maintenance of aspects of manufacturing and installing electrical equipment, components, and systems.
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components
- Conduct testing and analysis to ensure performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution
- Gain exposure to industry-standard tools and technologies
- Work closely with Design Build Firms to establish the mechanical and automation requirements for new aggregate plants and expanding existing plants
- Oversee the development of greenfield sites include roads, plant pad sites, railroad spurs, storm water management plans, and power distribution
Other
- Candidate must be working towards a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar field
- Some experience in mining or the aggregate industry preferred
- Ability to work independently with some guidance
- Excellent communication, observation, and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to engage and influence all levels of the organization
