BWXT is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in electromechanics, supporting tasks such as reviewing and modifying electrical control panel drawings, designing new control panels, and investigating/resolving plant issues.
Requirements
- Experience with electrical schematic software and labVIEW programming is desirable.
- Basic familiarity with engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
- Experience with electrical schematic software and labVIEW programming is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Review and modification of electrical control panel drawings using OrCAD Capture.
- New control panel design and construction.
- Process improvement projects, including updating work procedures and implementing new tooling and equipment.
- Investigation and resolution of issues in the plant, including part rework operations.
- Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required.
Other
- Students who are pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably in their sophomore or junior year of studies in Electrical Engineering, who also have an interest in mechanical systems.
- The position is full-time.
- Candidates should be approachable, motivated, and have good listening, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
