The Electrical Analytical Division at Sargent & Lundy is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to assist engineering team members in the execution of project work, which may involve the modeling and analysis of new and/or modifications and upgrades to various electrical systems.
Requirements
- background in Power/Power Systems
- coursework in electrical power systems
- Prior experience with power system analysis software such as PSS/E, PowerWorld, PSLF, TARA, CYME, Synergi, ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, ATP, or EMTP-RV
- Advanced engineering course work in Power Systems, Electric Machines, and/or Power Electronics
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of electrical system models and studies.
- Aid in development of program automation tools using Python and other scripting languages
- Work on a variety of tasks associated with project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data.
Other
- Must have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.
- Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
- Prior, related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
