Arconic is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to help expand new technologies piloted in one plant to others to drive standardization and create analytics and alarms in data collection systems to drive quicker reactions to problems.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering Degree, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering program (or related electrical technology program).
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
- Previous work or internship experience in manufacturing setting
Responsibilities
- Expand new Technology piloted in one plant to others to drive standardization
- Work with your mentor to learn how PLCs, sensors, supervisory systems, and data are leveraged in aluminum manufacturing
- Create analytics and alarms in our data collection systems to drive quicker reactions to problems when they arise.
- Apply your classroom knowledge to solve business problems
- Develop a presentation for plant and corporate leadership on your project(s) and findings throughout the internship.
Other
- Work with our Corporate Engineering team on projects at both the local and domestic plants
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on impactful projects
- Learn from some of the best in the manufacturing industry
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
