Collins Aerospace is seeking Electrical Engineering interns to support the design and development of a FIPS 140 security compatible hardware solution
Requirements
- Experience in engineering lifecycle disciplines including design, implementation, and test
- Experience with Object Oriented design and embedded programming
- Concentration on cryptography algorithms
- Experience in FPGA development using VHDL
- Experience with basic cybersecurity and cryptography
- Concentration on cryptographic algorithms
- Experience with embedded microprocessor architectures
Responsibilities
- Capture and decompose requirements into a system, hardware, and software level architecture models
- Develop an integrated software and VHDL solution on a commercially available MPSoC circuit card assembly for an approach implementing approved algorithms that meet FIPS 140-3 requirements
- Develop hardware and software integration test procedures
- Develop hardware and software user documentation
Other
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Onsite role, working primarily on-site at the designated location
