Stanley Black & Decker is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to support Electrical Engineering with key activities including performing Electrical Engineering design and testing tasks for new product development and cost reduction projects.
Requirements
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuit analysis, and power electronics.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Performing Electrical Engineering design and testing tasks for new product development and cost reduction projects.
- Help prototype electronic and/or mechatronic product concepts related to power tools and related fields, battery and cell studies, wireless connectivity, and jobsite power
- Prepare possible solutions along with decision matrix to assist in choosing technical direction
- Design and construct prototypes creating bill of materials and preliminary cost analysis
- Present results to supervisor and Innovation / Technology leadership
Other
- Be a rising junior or senior with a target graduation date of 2027 or 2028.
- Actively pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Degree.
- Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and confidence.
- Interns must be team-oriented and collaborative.
- Successfully manages strong academics alongside extracurricular activities.
