L3Harris is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to learn how to design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver Naval power systems.
Requirements
- Experience utilizing various pieces of test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital data acquisition systems, digital multi-meters, power supplies, load banks, three-phase power analyzers, insulation resistance testers, etc.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Networking, Serial Communications, Power Distribution, Power Conversion, Controls, and Aerospace & Defense industry
- Knowledge of LabVIEW, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
- Knowledge of and/or understanding of circuit analysis and operational concepts
- Familiarity with various computing environments (LINUX/Windows)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Determine design approaches and parameters
- Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
- Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results
- Write technical reports
- Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
- Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers
- Review and understand customer provided electrical equipment technical specifications
