Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire an Electrical Engineering Manager 2 to join their team in Huntsville, AL. This role involves both functional oversight and management of an Electrical Engineering group, as well as maintaining a technical baseline of performance on program work.

Requirements

  • Experience using Mentor Capital
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and specification sheets
  • Experience analyzing requirements and interface documentation
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Experience resolving issues and providing technical support
  • Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM
  • Experience deriving hardware-level requirements from interface, compliance, and performance requirements

Responsibilities

  • This is a functional home room (FHR) manager position, involving both the overall functional oversight and management of a Electrical Engineering group while maintaining a technical baseline of performance on program work.
  • The candidate will spend ~20% of their time on functional/organizational support and ~80% of their time on a mix of technical program work from current/existing tasking, or potential future tasking.
  • Functional management involves, but is not limited to, organizational administrative activities and helping employees’ performance and career development through guidance and training.
  • Program responsibilities will be dependent upon programmatic technical work and may vary by individual.
  • Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Electronic Systems
  • Experience using Mentor Capital
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and specification sheets
