Leidos Maritime Systems Division is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team in designing and delivering next-generation maritime solutions, including unmanned underwater vehicles and advanced sensor systems, to support U.S. interests globally.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience in subsea maritime programs or programs with design and delivery of electro-mechanical systems.
- 5+ years in a leadership role guiding engineering teams.
- Strong systems engineering expertise, including requirements management and verification/validation.
- Knowledge of signal processing, embedded systems, and power distribution for maritime applications.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 environmental testing and EMC compliance.
- Proficiency with tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and CAD/CAE platforms.
- Proven track record leading the design, development, integration, and deployment of subsea maritime systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for an electrical engineering team.
- Guide technical direction for multiple high-visibility programs.
- Translate mission needs into system designs and detailed subsystem requirements.
- Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and champion engineering best practices.
- Coordinate resources, schedules, and budgets in partnership with program managers.
- Contribute to business growth through proposal writing and technical strategy input.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Travel Required: Yes, 10% of the time
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.
- Experience with DoD program management, contracts, budgets, and subcontractor oversight.
