Stadler is looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the development and implementation of electrical systems for passenger rail vehicles manufactured in the U.S., ensuring projects meet technical requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- 8+ years as an Electrical Engineer
- Experience in the Railway Industry is preferred
- Proven management experience in an engineering team or department is preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the Electrical Engineering sub-department activities in all project phases from the concept to the validation and warranty phase
- cost-to-complete analysis and capacity planning for the Electrical Engineering efforts across all projects
- Ensure projects meet technical requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FRA, APTA, IEEE)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and production teams to ensure successful product development
- Serve as technical lead and point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices within the electrical engineering function
- Coordinate and plan resources for the Electrical Engineering sub-department for current and future US projects
Other
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and designers.
- Manage schedules, resources, and budgets for electrical engineering projects.
- Create, establish and further develop engineering processes, guidelines and work instructions
- Participate in supplier negotiations and escalations
- Support sales and bid engineering during offer phases
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
