Lead the design and development of electrical systems for manufactured products that align with company goals in safety, quality, value, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven ability to design, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical systems operating at both 12V and 120V.
- Strong understanding of theoretical and practical electrical calculations, standards, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain wire harness assemblies and related electrical systems to optimize functionality, manufacturability, and reliability.
- Specify electrical components, terminations, and installation methods to meet design and production standards.
- Create and maintain electrical schematic drawings that define system function and subsystem locations.
- Evaluate and test electrical components, equipment, and tools, providing recommendations for selection and improvement.
- Develop engineering applications and tools to enhance drafting efficiency and ensure drawing accuracy.
- Train and support manufacturing personnel in the assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Communicate design and engineering changes through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to ensure proper documentation and implementation.

- Oversee team performance by reviewing work in progress, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Assign work, establish schedules, and monitor progress to achieve departmental objectives.
- Lead and mentor team members by providing training, guidance, and feedback; support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience (7–10 years related experience required).
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing technical teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization.
