ENERCON is seeking an Electrical Engineer Manager to support Power Uprate initiatives within the Nuclear Services Group to increase reactor output and optimize performance at nuclear facilities across the country.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Professional Engineering License is required
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in design engineering in power generation or nuclear power with at least 2 of those years of experience as a group lead or supervisor
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant
- Ability to motivate team and achieve goals through positive, winning attitude and effective leadership style
- Proven experience with a high level of decision making, directing and overseeing routine and advanced technical work performed by others
Responsibilities
- Serve as the focal point for initial unit contact to Management, Project Managers (PMs), and other internal constituents.
- Direct/assign work to the unit to balance activities between work groups and individuals.
- Approve timesheets and expense reports.
- Conduct unit’s annual performance appraisals.
- Maintain responsibility for the unit’s quality; establish and enforce quality standards for the unit through the Lead Engineers.
- Certify design documents as required by state and local client and code requirements.
- Demonstrate technical leadership, providing resolution to technical issues either through own knowledge or by coordination with Subject Matter Expert
Other
- Ability to travel up to 15 - 25% of the time to client sites (expected to travel at least one time per month) for project and/or marketing meetings
- Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies.
