Marvell's Cloud Platform Optics team needs to design, verify, and validate highly integrated component platforms with high-speed Silicon photonics, transmit and receive amplifiers, controller ASICs with Marvell DSPs, and embedded firmware. The goal is to carry new products from inception to NPI, enabling new possibilities in enterprise, cloud, AI, and carrier architectures.

Requirements

  • Prior coursework in electronic, circuit design, and programming
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices
  • Familiarity with CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Allegro, OrCAD)
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment, with a good understanding of electrical measurement and testing methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical hardware for optical modules and other AI platforms
  • Perform hands-on testing and debugging of hardware components using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and signal analyzer
  • Participate in hardware validation and verification, including debugging and troubleshooting
  • Help develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields with an anticipated graduation date between Winter 2026 and Spring 2027
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
