Brunswick is looking for a Systems Engineering Intern to assist with the design, production, and manufacturing of outboard and sterndrive motors for the high-performance boating industry, aiming to innovate next-generation technologies.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits
- Ability to convey technical concepts in an easily understood manner, both verbally and in writing, requiring clear and concise verbal and written communications.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude (engine knowledge is a plus) and creative ability; self-motivated; ability to work under general supervision.
- Ability to specify information of material selection, finishes, dimensioning, and tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers in development of electrical hardware and harnessing for propulsion systems.
- Assist engineers with integrated systems development including actuator and sensor development
- Assist engineers with vessel control calibration and system development.
- Learn how to work with a team as you own and manage assigned projects from inception to completion.
- Get exposure to multiple areas over the duration of the term.
- Apply academic knowledge to real-world tasks.
- Work on specific projects or tasks that contribute to the organization’s goals.
