Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division is looking for an Electrical Test Engineer to test a wide range of electrical and electromechanical components and systems integral to the safety of nuclear power plants.

Requirements

  • Experience with power distribution equipment including Switchgear, Switchboards and Motor Control Centers preferred.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, nuclear preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry standards & regulations.
  • Ability to determine design approaches and parameters for testing and qualifying equipment and systems.
  • Ability to anticipate and mitigate potential failure modes.
  • Ability to facilitate factory acceptance tests and document and evaluate results.
  • Ability to provide technical input on the generation of proposals for programs.

Responsibilities

  • Review and understand a wide variety of large and complex customer purchase orders, technical specifications, and quality assurance requirements and translate that into design, procurement, qualification and testing documents.
  • Ensure compliance with customer purchasing requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards & regulations.
  • Determine design approaches and parameters for testing and qualifying equipment and systems.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential failure modes to improve probability of successful results.
  • Facilitate factory acceptance tests, document and evaluate results of a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical components and systems.
  • Provide technical input on the generation of proposals for programs.
  • Address and resolve project issues pertaining to project work scope, technical requirements, quality, schedule, resource assignments, cost, customer interface and other project related activities.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Two (2) to six (6) years of experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • Excellent organization, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work safely in accordance with company policy at all times.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all team members to achieve project objectives.
