Shipyard Test Organization (D272) is seeking candidates to lead and instruct STO-Electrical Testers in the safe conduct of Virginia Class Steam and Electric Plant systems, Weapons, and Hull, Mechanical and Auxiliary systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in STO or Electrical Test experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering; other Engineering disciplines will be considered
- Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Experience
- Current DOD Secret Clearance
- Ability to read & work from electrical system diagrams and schematics
Responsibilities
- Test sequence planning in accordance with Virginia Class playbook
- Facilitate instruction of Electrical Testers on the deck plate
- Ability to accomplish complex testing and troubleshooting of Power Conversion Modules and Power Distribution Systems
- Complete Test Form daily IAW with CONOPs Test Form Prosecution and participate in Electrical Surveillance program
- Ability to read, interpret and teach schematic and electrical system diagram knowledge to perform Lockout/Tag-out of ship systems in accordance with shipyard standard procedures
- Demonstrate proper operation of ships Electric Plant systems both on hull and in learning module setting
- Operate with the highest level of integrity and formality with strict compliance on material history and handling

- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in STO or Electrical Test experience. 4+ years of US Navy or Military experience will be accepted in lieu of STO/Electrical Test experience
