Siemens is seeking to improve the quality of their Industrial Control Panels (ICPs) that power automation and control systems for electrical substations by hiring an Electro-mechanical Quality Test Technician

Requirements

  • Associate degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline
  • Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
  • Residential or commercial electrical education or certifications
  • 1+ years of experience in testing, Inspecting and troubleshooting electrical equipment
  • Ability to conduct thorough final inspections on all electrical equipment, ensuring precision and attention to detail
  • Experience with various test equipment, including Hi-pot testing
  • Proficiency in reading schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists for circuit troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Perform final electro-mechanical inspections, ensuring panels meet company quality standards
  • Conduct nondestructive tests according to specifications and drawings, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports while collaborating with Engineering and technicians’ teams
  • Serve as Manufacturing Technical Representative (MTR) for UL508 compliance (UL Certification training provided)
  • Follow all Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management

  • Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Ability to work on 1st shift (7:30 am – 4:00 pm)
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement
