Siemens is seeking to improve the quality of their Industrial Control Panels (ICPs) that power automation and control systems for electrical substations by hiring an Electro-mechanical Quality Test Technician
Requirements
- Associate degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline
- Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
- Residential or commercial electrical education or certifications
- 1+ years of experience in testing, Inspecting and troubleshooting electrical equipment
- Ability to conduct thorough final inspections on all electrical equipment, ensuring precision and attention to detail
- Experience with various test equipment, including Hi-pot testing
- Proficiency in reading schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists for circuit troubleshooting
Responsibilities
- Perform final electro-mechanical inspections, ensuring panels meet company quality standards
- Conduct nondestructive tests according to specifications and drawings, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports while collaborating with Engineering and technicians’ teams
- Serve as Manufacturing Technical Representative (MTR) for UL508 compliance (UL Certification training provided)
- Follow all Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management
Other
- Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Ability to work on 1st shift (7:30 am – 4:00 pm)
- Must be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement
