Siemens is looking to solve the problem of ensuring the quality of their Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as Switchgears, Switchboards, and Breakers, by hiring an Electro-mechanical Quality Test Technician to perform final test and inspection duties.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in testing, Inspecting and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
  • Ability to conduct thorough final inspections on all electrical equipment, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Experience with various test equipment, including Hi-pot testing.
  • Proficiency in reading schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists for circuit troubleshooting.
  • Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Preferred)
  • Residential or commercial electrical education or certifications (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform final electro-mechanical inspections on units, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct nondestructive tests on equipment according to specifications and drawings, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports, working professionally with Engineering and Wirers during tests and reporting findings.
  • Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Ability to work on 1st shift (6:00am - 2:30pm)
  • Must be willing to work in Wendell, NC
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (implied by the presence of associate or bachelor’s degree as a preferred qualification)
