The Boeing Company is looking to solve electromagnetic effects research problems by evaluating, analyzing, and measuring EM properties of advanced materials and configurations, and developing new EM digital engineering processes.
Requirements
- Experience in software languages (i.e., Python, MATLAB, C++)
- Application of Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) tools, such as (FEKO, CST, HFSS, etc.)
- Knowledge of Electromagnetic principles
Responsibilities
- Perform modeling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict airplane-level, subsystem-level, and component-level performance and to optimize designs around established requirements with respect to EME, Lightning Direct Effects, and Lightning Indirect Effects.
- Assist in the development and feedback of software tools and workflows in EME processes to include testing, modeling, analysis, and simulation
- Assist in laboratory testing and test planning to characterize electromagnetic properties and failure modes of designs with respect to EME, Lightning Direct Effects, and Lightning Indirect Effects
- Design and conduct simple tests to validate performance of designs to requirements
- Assists in developing architectures to integrate components into higher level systems and platforms
- Assists in systems engineering analysis of complex systems
Other
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Travel: 10%
- U.S. Citizenship required for Security Clearance
