Stanley Black & Decker is looking for an Electromechanical Engineering Intern to support the electromechanical (EM) systems team with key activities, including exploring design options, performing statistical analysis, coordinating with remote teams, building and refining prototypes, testing designs, and troubleshooting electromechanical systems for new cordless tools.

Requirements

  • Use computer aided design (CAD) software to explore design options and create unique solutions for electronic components in NEW cordless tools.
  • Perform statistical analysis from real data to support design decisions.
  • Build and refine prototypes using 3D printers, hand tools, and soldering guns.
  • Test prototype designs using lab equipment such as load cells, high speed cameras, oscilloscopes, or automated testing rigs.
  • Troubleshoot electromechanical systems using digital multimeters (DMM), oscilloscopes, and software.
  • Measure components using optical profilometers, calipers, digital microscopes, etc.

  • Be a rising junior or senior with a target graduation date of 2027 or 2028
  • Actively pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or electro-mechanical engineering.
  • Maintains strong academic credentials.
