Stored Energy Systems (SENS) is looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer to design and develop battery monitoring and management systems for industrial battery chargers, inverters, and DC back-up power systems.
Requirements
- Mastery of computer programming and scripting languages (C, C++, BASH).
- Knowledge of board level communications (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.).
- Experience using lab test equipment such as high-speed digital scopes, power supplies, electronic loads, voltmeters, and logic analyzers.
- Experience with IoT protocols like MQTT.
- Experience with Zephyr.
- Experience working in Linux development environments.
- Experience with the following protocols: SNMP, MODBUS, DNP3, IEC61850.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain product firmware for system controllers, sensors, and accessories for power systems and battery monitors with embedded microcontrollers.
- Perform required testing for design verification, and system integration to ensure performance and reliability under all operating conditions.
- Specify and design production tests and equipment to support the introduction of new products into production.
- Participate in the full life cycle of product development including requirement definition, design, implementation, test, and maintenance.

- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience taking a design from concept into volume production.
- Self-starter and deadline driven with an emphasis on releasing application features to the end customer.
