eero is looking to solve the problem of ensuring a great customer experience by validating software releases and testing critical embedded firmware for their home WiFi and wired connectivity products.
Requirements
- Experience in automation testing
- Working knowledge of unix/linux
- Knowledge of networking standards and protocols such as IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DHCP
- Knowledge of wireless networking (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be)
- Ability to effectively use AI driven tools for automation, enhancing test coverage, debugging and troubleshooting
- Experience with Python and/or Linux shell scripting skills
- Experience testing cloud APIs
Responsibilities
- Black and gray box testing on driver and userspace embedded software
- Provide additional cross functional test support for other team members
- New hardware test and support
- Develop ad hoc tests to support engineering debug
- Writing and executing test plans to ensure complete code coverage
- Providing detailed bug reports to the engineering teams using JIRA
- Leverage AI for debugging and troubleshooting, automation
Other
- Ability to travel between Seattle and Bay area on a frequent basis
- Ability to work independently and within a testing team
- Clear and concise communication
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
- 4+ years in a Quality assurance role out of which at least 3+ years are in testing embedded firmware
