Northrop Grumman is looking to develop the next generation of software for the next generation of platforms, specifically for future generation aircraft, and needs an Embedded & Real-Time Staff Engineer Software to support development and integration of the latest technologies - AI/ML, Quantum computing, cloud, and digital design.
Requirements
- Experienced with C++ and Python
- Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
- Experience with developing software used for one of the following real-time applications: flight critical software, Safety critical software, medical software, or mission critical software
- Experience with one of the following real time operating systems: Wind River VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity, or Realtime Linux
- Experience with CoreVMS and RTCF
- Experience with three of the following tools: Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, or Coverity
- Strong understanding of closed loop control system architectures
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test software for end-user customers and businesses
- Design, development, and administration of embedded and real time systems
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as Systems Engineering, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test, in an Agile software development environment
- Participate in the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products to customers
- Develop architectures and operate in an embedded technology development environment working with real time operating systems for use in flight and mission critical systems
- Work in Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselines
- Manage the Software Requirements process and their Verification and Validation
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and at least 12 years’ experience, or STEM master’s degree with 10 years’ experience, or a STEM PHD with 8 years’ experience
- Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
- Active Secret DoD Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance
