Developing and evolving Apple's internal RTOS for embedded microcontrollers in SOCs and products
Requirements
- Experience leading a low-level software team
- Experience with firmware, device driver, or kernel-level development
- Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals
- Knowledge of embedded hardware and computer architecture
- Proven track record of successful and timely product delivery
Responsibilities
- Growing and strengthening the Embedded Runtime team by hiring and retaining top-tier engineering talent
- Developing an ambitious, innovative software and release strategy supporting Mac, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and HomePod product development
- Completing the team roadmap with high quality work on tight schedules
- Partnering with the multi-functional teams to gather and refine product requirements for Apple's RTOS
- Identifying and vocalizing risk areas during product and technology development
