Unlimited Technology is looking for a Security Service Technician to install, service, test, and inspect access control and IP camera products and systems, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining security hardware.
Requirements
- Certifications in Software House, Lenel, and Genetec strongly desired.
- Certifications in American Dynamics, Bosch and / or other IP Video products a plus.
- Experience in Audio Visual Technology
- Experience troubleshooting network switches.
- Experienced in reading and comprehending engineered drawings.
- Experienced in the marking up, or "red lining" of drawings post install.
- Minimum 3-5 years of field installation experience in the security environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and test a variety of access control and IP camera products and systems.
- Interpret and understand engineered drawings related to security installations.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installations and service visits.
- Follow company guidelines and industry best practices to ensure the quality and reliability of security installations.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge related to security installation techniques, equipment, and technologies.
- Troubleshoot network switches.
- Experienced in the installation of door hardware such as strikes and magnetic locks.

- As a customer-facing representative, the Security Service Technician must be personable, knowledgeable, and proactive, making decisions that prioritize customer satisfaction and company interests.
- The successful candidate will need to be hard-working, detail-oriented, highly organized and able to work independently to maintain security hardware in the client's and Unlimited Technology's best interests.
- Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to job tickets and installations.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times during installations and service visits.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work well and interact with other UT employees as well as UT customers.
