Teradyne Semiconductor Test Hardware Engineering team is looking for a System Integration and Embedded Software Design Engineer to focus on the development of application level SW drivers and to spearhead system integration and debug efforts for automated test equipment.

Requirements

  • Software coding using C and C++.
  • System integration in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Expertise in C, C++ coding and several scripting languages (Python, PERL, bash, …) required.
  • Familiarity with Verilog, System Verilog, UVM, VHDL preferred.
  • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux.
  • Development Tools: GIT, Clearcase/Version Vault, JIRA, Make, Microsoft Visual Studio (Linux and Windows).
  • Familiarity with common hardware protocols, such as; I2C, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, USB...

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key technical resource to contribute and/or lead system integration efforts to bring the product to market.
  • Architecture, design, implementation, verification, and lab validation of Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) for automated test equipment.
  • Act as technical lead for HAL project team deliverables, directing/mentoring junior engineers.
  • Work closely within the Logic Design team to abstract the low level hardware details from higher level SW to enable greater SW reuse and reduce long term maintenance of the code base.
  • Work with Hardware, Software and Systems engineering to define scalable, high-performance, high-quality, extensible, and maintainable HAL code.

Other

  • Minimum of 10 years of practical development experience and system integration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment is a plus.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams designing complex systems
  • BS required, advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering computer science or related technical field from a top university or engineering institution
