Emerson is looking to solve complex problems in process operations around the world, specifically with the Fisher branded line of products, by optimizing performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Programming experience in C-Sharp (Test), C++ (Firmware), or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Ability to understand basic mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems
- Knowledge of common software test methods
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools (TeamCity, Jenkins)
- Experience with distributed version control
- Experience with ARM embedded processor platforms
Responsibilities
- Engage firmware team to interpret upstream requirements to design, document, and implement supporting validations
- Perform project and product documentation in accordance with departmental and company procedures and standards
- Collaborate with other members of the project team to deliver features that are implemented, tested, and documented
- Design, assemble, and maintain test fixtures

- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university
- Major(s): Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Commitment to full-time (40 hour) Spring (Jan 2026- August 2026) or Fall (May 2026- December 2026) co-op experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
