SyberJet is looking to solve the problem of developing the next-generation SyberVision advanced avionics system for high-performance business jets, specifically building and refining the mapping, geospatial, and graphical interface capabilities within the avionics platform.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C / C++ for embedded or real-time systems.
- Experience with mapping, GIS, geospatial data, or elevation/terrain modeling.
- Familiarity with common engineering tools: Git, Make, CMake, etc.
- Experience with Linux development environments.
- Knowledge of aviation charts, FAA mapping databases, or synthetic vision systems.
- Experience with Model-Based Engineering tools (ANSYS SCADE preferred)
- Graphics programming experience (OpenGL, Vulkan, GPU rendering pipelines)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded mapping and geospatial features for the SyberVision avionics software suite.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and flight test teams to build intuitive 2D and 3D graphical interfaces for aviation mapping and terrain visualization.
- Translate stakeholder and pilot feature requests into clear, certifiable software requirements.
- Help define requirements and architecture for graphical and mapping tools.
- Investigate feasibility and performance tradeoffs for mapping and rendering solutions in compliance with DO-178C and system DAL requirements.
- Support integration, testing, validation, and optimization in embedded real-time systems.
Other
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous involvement in aerospace certification processes and standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).
