Zoox is looking to build complex systems designed for challenging automotive environments and develop its next-generation robot, requiring expertise in firmware architecture and development for fail-operational capabilities and fault management systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing highly available mission-critical embedded software
- Strong embedded C/C++ programming experience.
- Familiarity with writing safety-critical software
- Familiarity with automotive software development practices and ISO-26262 standard.
Responsibilities
- define the firmware architecture of our embedded systems
- drive the development of our next-generation robot
- design and develop new features to help build out Zoox’s Fail-Operational capabilities
- ensure our features and firmware development follow industry standards and processes (ISO-26262, etc.)
- continue development of our fault management system
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to engineering teams at Zoox to solve challenging firmware issues

- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
