Capgemini is seeking a skilled and motivated Qt/C++ Software Engineer to lead the development of standalone medical device applications on Linux, contributing to life-changing technologies in a regulated industry.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in application software development, with at least 2 years in the medical device or other regulated industries
- Documented experience developing with Qt in a professional setting
- Shown proficiency in C++ development on Linux, including object-oriented programming, debugging, and design patterns
- Experience developing and editing cmake files and build scripts in a command line (bash) environment
- Experience with software configuration management tools for source code control (Git), issue tracking (Jira), requirements management (JAMA)
- Experience with scrum framework
- Linux kernel configuration & building
Responsibilities
- Develop modern Qt and C++ (11’ or newer) based standalone medical device applications in Linux OS
- Lead conceptualization, prototyping, design, and unit testing of application software
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to improve application functionality
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and address software issues
- Participates in preclinical system experiments in the lab, with physicians, and 3rd parties
Other
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects in parallel
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
- Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Engineering/ Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related fields

- The base salary range for the tagged location is $101,000 - $139,000.
