Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is looking for a dynamic Software Engineering Co-Op to assist in the development of embedded security software, specifically in the area of crypto algorithms, to create a safer and more connected world.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with C, C++, Python and/or Linux
- Some experience coding in an embedded environment
- Security focused mindset
- Familiar with multi-threaded and object-oriented development
- Familiar with the basics of asymmetric and symmetric encryption

Responsibilities
- You will be a part of a team that is developing new and innovative products for customers.
- You will face and conquer challenges of the interesting and hard world of crypto algorithms.
- You will develop your skills with software application tools, as well as C ++, Rust, and Python.
- You will impact the team positively by demonstrating your ability to perform product security testing, becoming a cybersecurity subject matter expert.
Other
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity)
