RTX is looking for an Embedded Software Engineering Intern to assist in the full software development life cycle on an agile development team, working collaboratively with software and system engineers to develop and test embedded security software for new and innovative products in the aerospace and defense industry.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with C, C++, Python and/or Linux
- Some experience coding in an embedded environment
- Security focused mindset
- Familiar with multi-threaded and object-oriented development
- Familiar with the basics of asymmetric and symmetric encryption
Responsibilities
- assist in parts of the full software development life cycle on an agile development team
- work in a collaborative environment with software and system engineers to develop and test embedded security software
- develop your skills with software application tools, as well as C ++, Rust, and Python
- perform product security testing
- becoming a cybersecurity subject matter expert
Other
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
